Band History

FAILED ASSIMILATION is a post-industrial rock band, which arose from the ashes of Brisbane's industrial scene in late 2015. Counterbalancing visceral and bludgeoning aggression from a torrent of guitars, wild electronics and screams of urban frustration and nihilism, with haunting melodies that creep into your subconsciousness, Failed Assimilation is a versatile band. Whilst they manage to craft their own signature sound, the undercurrent of their output pays homage to a medley of 80's, 90's, as well as modern influences: cold wave, metal, EBM, dark electro, noise, post-punk, and other experimental genres. Failed Assimilation stands apart from traditional music by not restricting themselves to the genre's boundaries.
